October Collector Club Sneak Peek

A very early newsletter was sent out today!

Well, that sure is an interesting color. Will we be getting a new lottery model series? My initial thought was the Valegro mold, but it matches the Marwari mold really well.
I guess we'll find out next month!

Constantia Is Here!

The long awaited Standardbred mare has finally arrived!

Mine seems to be a more grey-backed variation. She came with a few flaws, but it's nothing compared to my Zafirah. I don't love her coloring as much as I thought I would, but it's still pretty nice. I have zero shelf space right now, so she's living on the top of my shelving unit with the Stablemates and other miscellaneous Traditional models. My main complaint is that her description on the website states that her white markings are mapped. There is no mapping anywhere.

She is very long, close to the Cleveland Bay mold's length. The Altynai mold still holds the title as the longest.

We'll definitely be seeing this mold used for Breyerfest. I wonder what color she will be?

I am so excited for this milestone!

When we reach the anniversary of this blog's creation- or when it gets 1,000 views (whichever comes first), I will be hosting a photo show to celebrate. Be sure to share this blog with all of your model horse loving friends so we can get this show sooner!

I truly appreciate every single one of you guys who visits this blog. πŸ’œ

More Holiday Models!

There has been a flood of new releases lately, I've been very busy posting them all. πŸ˜…

First, we have Neva!

I'm not a huge fan of this guy, mostly due to his pattern. If it didn't have the snowmen, and just had trees I'd like him a lot more. I do like the blue splash, it reminds me of Stone's Shark Week DAH patterns.

Next, Altair, who was revealed in the Collector Club tent at Breyerfest.

While not being a unicorn collector, this guy is insanely tempting. This is the first time the mold is being used in a while, so I'm sure he'll be popular.

Kohl, the 2022 Pony for Christmas model.

She has a very metallic paintjob, with a very cute candy cane striped blanket. I wonder if she'll have any sabino markings? She's adorable, but nothing I need.

Our mare and foal release, Ceres and Minerva.

This is the first time Bluegrass Bandit is being used as a unicorn. I wouldn't have thought that the Ashley mold would be paired with her, but they look nice together. BGB collectors must be excited to see her released again!

2023 Collector Club

Well, it's time for the club renewals- you know what that means! Reveals!!

I'm in love with both of them! The Fireheart will be the first release, like Honeybear from this year. Twist will be the Deluxe stablemate, and will also come with this pin:

The first Premier Club model was revealed as well. A gorgeous Paso Fino.

CanciΓ³n is stunning. The sculpt is superb and the color is gorgeous!

I'm strongly considering joining the Premier Club again. If the first model is any indication, next year's models are going to be awesome. :)

New Peter Stone Chips!

I had never seen Stones being sold in-person in all my years of collecting, then I discovered an antique store that had oodles of them.

I forgot to post about them the first time I went there (and bought two), but I returned a few months later and picked up a couple more.

1st Visit:

Cicada
Bo Peep

2nd Visit:
(Currently unknown OF name)
Lam, a steer that came with Bo Peep. Luckily, I was able to find him the second time visiting the store.

I set the most recent pair of models on the counter, and immediately heard one of the most painful noises that a collector could hear. The employee had taken the black overo and flipped him upside down to remove the tags and rubbed him against the glass counter. It was an awful screeching sound. I would have expected there to be a million rubs from this rough handling, but none were to be found. Stones thankfully seem to have very durable paint.

This is one of my favorite 'antique' hunting spots, mostly due to them having so many Stones. All of them were in excellent condition, and a few CM chips were in the mix too. :)

New Holiday Playset!

The POA mold got a tail makeover for this release, how fun!

Another palomino... so many palominos...

His accessories are super cute, I'm not going to be purchasing him though. He was the sneak peek that we got in the September Collector Club Newsletter. No wonder I couldn't find a mold that matched exactly, there was a new tail!

You can find him here.

Huh?

Anamar!

Breyer decided to reveal the final Premier Club model today, but I can't tell if I like him or not? I do know one thing though, I'm not a fan of those dapples. Most of the mold I like (his stallion crest is adorable!), but the tail looks unfinished. I'll have to see him in person before I decide to keep him or not.

"Native to the North Africa region, the Amazigh horse is a breed seeped in history. For centuries, these horses of the region’s Amazigh people have had a tremendous influence on European stock, perhaps rivaled only by the Arabian horse. Their native land has historically seen much activity due to invasions, travelers, and settlements, and all of that movement of people and horses means that several modern breeds, including the Andalusian, Lusitano, and Thoroughbred, can attribute some of their early bloodlines to the Amazigh horse."

Anamar will be available in December. Mini Georg will be shipping with him (I'm a huge fan of that method, instead of the SM being shipped separately multiple months later). Mini Georg also now has a name, Giorgio! I really hope that he's going to be in Constantia's coloring.

The 2022 PC sure has had some interesting names. I struggle to remember how to spell them. πŸ˜…

Constantia!!

Despite Breyer stating that she would be released in late fall, Constantia is available for purchase!
This might be pretty bad timing for some folks, with the CC appreciation + other releases. Members have until the 24th to purchase her.

I am super excited for this gal, she is the first PC model that I plan on keeping (as long as she doesn't have any major flaws...). Her sculpt is very nice, and so is her color. Finding a spot for her on my shelves might be a challenge though. πŸ˜‰
Collectors have been begging Breyer for a new Standardbred mold for quite a while now, and they finally delivered.

I can't wait to see what other colors she will be released in. Hopefully a nicely shaded dark bay will be in our future.

Fall Collector Club Appreciation

For the 2nd time this year, Breyer is offering a free glossy model with a $150+ purchase!

I didn't expect this to happen again, but I guess the first one didn't sell as well as they'd hoped (or they finally got some shipments in from China). This time they are offering glossy 70th anniversary models along with glossy models used the beginning of the year. I won't be participating this time, but good luck to those who do! :)

Introduction!

Welcome to my blog! This will be my first post, so I wanted to share a little about me :) I mainly collect Breyers and Stones. 1:9 and 1:...
