April Collector Club Newsletter Sneak Peek!

This month's newsletter included a very cool article about the 10 Year Anniversary of the Premier Club, along with a sneak peek of a future CC release!

"We've got something wild in the works for May! If you've looked in the right places, you might've caught this fellow's name before..."

I assume they are talking about Kingfisher! I'm super curious to what he is going to look like! Will he have a realistic color and pattern, or will he be more like a decorator? I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Edit: I just happened to see two kingfishers tonight at my pond! I've never seen a kingfisher in person before, let alone two! I believe they were belted kingfishers

Best Customs Contest Prize Reveal!

 Brandenburg!

"To commemorate this iconic piece of Berlin, this year’s Best Customs Contest winners will each get to take home their own Brandenburg, a stunning black and white version of the 2018 Premier Club model, Dundee, done on mold #746."

A beautiful black version of Dundee. I like him better than the original.

Now to find out what the prize stablemate will be!

Looking Back at Premier Club 2021

After Breyer's Premier Club of 2021 has come to a close, I thought it would be nice to look back at the three releases and give my opinions of them!

1st Release: Fireheart

This mold is so dynamic! I wish the mane and tail weren't pearly, but the color and markings are beautiful! The appaloosa markings are mapped, which is a very nice touch.
I would love to see the mane roached, to make him look like a moody Andalusian/Lusitano!

2nd Release: Astrid
Unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed with this mare. Mostly with the color. It just seemed flat. I understand that Fjords have limited coloring, but I think a different color would have looked better (maybe the more common color, Brunblakk).
I do like the mold though! Breyer has already showed us that she has another mane variation, which looks super cute!

3rd Release: Firefly and Hawkeye

Such a cute pair! Firefly has a very unique color and pattern! Hawkeye is such a cute filly! I thought she was supposed to be a colt, but there are no... parts.
I wish they painted Hawkeye's mouth area a little differently. Sloppily painted black lines were put on her lips, and not the best nostril paint job either. I am not the biggest fan of their molds, they are a little too thin for my liking, but it's good to have another mare and foal set. I'm excited to see their future releases!

Overall, the Premier Club of 2021 was decent. I definitely think some years were better, but this year was still good! I didn't end up keeping any of the models, as none of them were my cup of tea.

I am looking forward to the Premier Club of 2022! I can't wait to see what new molds will be released!

Model Highlight

Link!

These posts will be about a model that has done well in a show (or shows). I will be posting these once every other month.

This month's highlight is about a Stone 2020 DAH. I ordered this guy less than a month before Stone closed the program. He is my only DAH, although I hope to get more in the future!

He is a beautiful dappled buckskin on the Thoroughbred mold, and painted by Dawn Quick. I named him Link.

His only placing on OMHPS is an amazing one! In a class of 19 models, he placed 1st! This is the best a model has placed for me (considering class size), and I'm very proud of him.

Anthem Has Been Revealed!

After two weeks of being just a name, we finally know who Anthem is!

I like him more than I thought I would! I'm not a big fan of the mold, but the color and pattern is beautiful!

I don't know if I will be purchasing him though, as I don't normally collect decorators. I might need to make an exception!

April Fool's! + A New Release

Breyer "revealed" a decorator on the Fireheart mold!

I assume this was the test for Montana.

I'm 100% sure that this is an April Fool's day joke because of his name (Discoheart!).

On a different topic, some collectors spotted this pony on the Breyer website!

"A portion of every Hope purchase goes to PATH International, the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International."

I think that it's a great idea to support more organizations like this! I'm not a big fan of these types of patterns, but she sure is cute!

Introduction!

Welcome to my blog! This will be my first post, so I wanted to share a little about me :) I mainly collect Breyers and Stones. 1:9 and 1:...
