Getting Crafty

This post was written well over a year ago! I had intentions of making more (and writing about them), but it didn't happen, so the post got buried for a lonnng time as a draft. Oops. 🫠

Even though I never do very well with crafts (aside from painting), I decided to try making ribbons...

I'm using Desktop Stable's tutorial, it's very simple and straightforward. I highly recommend checking it out!

My first try worked out pretty well. The hardest part was finding the right size circle of paper to glue the folded ribbon onto.

Here it is on my Ruffian!

After making the design, I was ready to have another attempt.

Next round went a little smoother, but there were still a few problem areas. I had a little bit of trouble spacing the rosette how I wanted, but it worked out okay. I glued the new design onto both of the ribbons, and I think it looks pretty nice. The design's color was fading (due to the ink being rubbed off), so I had to recolor it with a pen. I tried a different method of making the metal hanger using a paperclip, and it worked really well!

Updated 1st Attempt

That's all for now! Hoping I can get back into posting more frequently. Thanks for your patience, guys. 💜
